Privacy policy

This policy explains what data is collected when you visit this website, by whom, and what choices you have.

Data the site itself collects

The site has no accounts, comment forms or newsletter and does not ask you for personal data. If you email us, we receive your address and your message and use them only to reply and to keep a record of corrections.

Hosting and security logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page speed. Cloudflare says it does not use client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses, or intends to use, Google AdSense to show ads. When ads are active:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

When ads are active, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before advertising cookies are used for personalization. You can give, refuse or later change your choice through that message.

US state privacy rights

Residents of some US states have rights to know about, access, delete and correct personal data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for targeted advertising. We do not sell data for money, but advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under those laws. Where required, a privacy choice link will appear on the site, and you can use the opt-out links above or write to us.

Your rights elsewhere

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Australia, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data and to object to its processing, and you may complain to your data protection authority. We hold little data about you beyond any email you send. To use these rights, contact contact@homelabproof.com. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use their own tools and policies linked above.

Children

This site is aimed at adults and is not directed at children under 13.
