Tick what you want to run. The total adds each stack's measured idle RAM to 481 MB for the operating system and Docker, which is what the test box used with nothing running.

What this does not tell you

This is a floor, and the gap between the floor and real use varies a lot by service. Idle means a fresh install with no users, no library and no scheduled job running, sometimes still at its setup wizard. A photo library's machine-learning container or a document scanner's OCR needs far more while it works, and databases grow into the memory they are given. The guides report load figures where a test measured them, so read the guide for anything you plan to lean on.

Stacks are added up independently here, because each was measured alone. When combinations were started together on one machine, the real total matched the sum for a small set and ran 13 to 14% above it for larger sets, so allow for that. Sharing one database between apps would also change the total, and this calculator does not model that. Your own idle figure will also differ on other hardware, kernels and versions.
